Kim Jong Un , Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message on August 1 to Patrice Talon, President of the Republic of Benin.
The message reads as follows.
On behalf of the government and people of the DPRK, I extend my warm congratulations and cordial greetings to you and to the government and people of your country on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of independence of Benin.
Our people highly appreciate the successes achieved by the Beninese people in their righteous struggle for building a new independent and prosperous society with united efforts after the independence of the country and sincerely hope that everything will go well in your friendly country.
I take this opportunity to express my conviction that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries would further strengthen and develop in conformity with the requirements of the new era and the aspiration and desire of the peoples.
