Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Seventy-two years has passed after the birth of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
On September 9, Juche 37 (1948), President Kim Il Sung declared the foundation of the DPRK, the first genuine people's country in the nation's history of five-thousand years. Its birth was a historic event that brought about a fundamental change in carving out the destiny of the Korean people and building a thriving country.
Since then, the Korean people have wrought world-startling miracles in socialist construction, recording annals of victory and prosperity in the history of the country.
Under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the DPRK, a precious patriotic legacy of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, is now demonstrating its dignity as the most powerful, independent state and the great people's country.
It has thoroughly applied the people-first principle to the state building and activities and advanced along the road of victory by dint of single-mined unity.
World people are moved to see the DPRK invariably advancing toward the road of socialism chosen by itself despite the worst trials and all sorts of challenges and pressure.
