It has been six years since the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un published his celebrated work "Let the Entire Party, the Whole Army and All the People Conduct a Vigorous Forest Restoration Campaign to Cover the Mountains of the Country with Green Woods" on February 26, Juche 104 (2015).
In the work, he indicated the tasks and ways for restoring the forests of the country, including the matters of simultaneously pushing forward the tree-planting and the forest conservation, developing the forest science and technology and tightening the supervision over the tree-planting and forest conservation and vigorously conducting a mass movement for the successful forest restoration campaign.
In hearty response to this monumental work reflecting his patriotic will, all the people of the DPRK turned out as one in the campaign for turning the mountains of the country into treasure and golden mountains covered with green woods.
Amid the grand nature-remaking project, signal achievements have been made in afforestation.
A new forest apparatus factory went into operation and tree-sapling production basses including the Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery were built across the country to lay material and technical foundations for hastening the work for turning the whole country into a thick woodland and greenery.
While raising the rate of rooting by planting trees in quality and carefully tending them, a work has been pushed forward to protect the forests with the viewpoint that forest conservation precisely means the protection of land, ecological environment and the economy.
The scientific research sector made valuable successes in the work to widely spread good species of trees suitable for the climatic and soil conditions of the country and plant trees without regard to the seasons.
More than 400 units across the country won the title of Forest of Socialist Patriotism in the course of brisk mass movement for ensuring the successful forest restoration campaign.
The DPRK people will register bigger successes in the forest restoration campaign, the noble patriotic cause for national prosperity, under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.
