Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, on July 23.
General Secretary Xi Jinping in the message recalled that General Secretary Kim Jong Un sent a message of fervent congratulations at an early hour on the 100th founding anniversary of the CPC to highly appreciate the historic successes the CPC has achieved by uniting and leading the Chinese people for one hundred years.
The message noted that it showed the friendly feelings of General Secretary Kim Jong Un , the WPK and the Korean people towards General Secretary Xi Jinping, the CPC and the Chinese people.
It expressed deep thanks on behalf of the CPC and the Chinese people and extended sincere greetings to General Secretary Kim Jong Un , the WPK and the Korean people.
General Secretary Xi Jinping in the message also expressed his thanks to General Secretary Kim Jong Un for sending a special verbal message of sympathy to him over the damage by heavy rain that hit Henan Province and some other regions of China.
Stressing that both China and the DPRK are the socialist states led by the communist parties, the message said under the new situation the Chinese side, together with the DPRK side, would contribute to accomplishing the cause of socialism in the two countries and make positive contributions to providing the peoples of the two countries with happiness and achieving regional peace, stability, development and prosperity by successfully implementing the important common understanding reached by the two sides to successfully defend, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations.
The message sincerely hoped that General Secretary Kim Jong Un would achieve ceaseless, fresher and bigger successes in carrying out the cause of socialist construction by leading the WPK and the Korean people, and his work would go well.
