Russian Figure Claims that the U.S. is to blame for Sufferings of the Afghan People

On August 19, Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation stated that the U.S. is solely responsible for aggravating the current situation in Afghanistan.
He said that the U.S. is now shifting all the responsibility for the Afghan situation on to the Ghani government whom the U.S. had once inducted into a seat of power, but it’s the ordinary Afghan people who are now on the receiving end of the mistake by the U.S., paying an exorbitant price for it.
He further stressed that the number of terrorist crimes in Afghanistan increased much more during the U.S. presence in Afghanistan and that terrorist organizations are given free rein to move at will with Afghanistan as their base to expand their sphere of influence toward Central Asia, as opposed to the fact that some U.S. monopolies in the munitions industry battened on the Afghan war.
He also disclosed the fact that opium production had gone up 40 times high by the U.S. which, rather than eradicating the drug distribution, has implemented a program to world-class drug production process during its presence in Afghanistan for 20 years.
How the world may think about the U.S., this issue matters little to the U.S. privileged circles, Patrushev condemned.
The reality clearly shows that the U.S. can, under no circumstances, abdicate its responsibility for the Afghan crisis.
