Since its foundation on October 10, Juche 34 (1945), the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) has thoroughly applied the idea of believing in the people as in Heaven in all party works and firmly held fast to the service to the people as the starting point and absolute and invariable principle of party building and activities.

Over the past ten years since the start of the new century of Juche in particular, the WPK has invariably adhered to its character as the people's party and dynamically conducted a grand creation campaign for materializing the dream and ideal of the people at an early date.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un formulated the essence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the guiding idea of the WPK, as the people-first principle. He defined the making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of people as the mode of existence of the WPK and put forward the principle of giving the highest and absolute priority to the people's interests and comfort as the most important affair.

The whole Party has regarded the slogans "Everything for the people and everything by relying on them!" and "Let the entire Party make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the great people!" as a fundamental guideline for its work and activities.

Even under manifold ordeals and difficulties caused by the imperialist allied forces' vicious anti-DPRK moves, the great creation campaign for the people was conducted on a larger scale and the traits of giving the highest and absolute priority to the people's interests and comfort and making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of people were fully displayed.

The WPK regarded it as the most urgent task to heal the inconvenience and pains of people who suffered from natural disasters, and made every possible effort to this end. Under its guidance, miracles were wrought to turn adversity into favorable situation for the people and hurrah for the WPK and socialism resounded far and wide across the country.

Modern city, streets, cultural resorts and monumental edifices came into being in different parts of the country, making the people enjoy the highest level of civilization.

The credit for such world-startling miracles goes to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has devoted his all to the people, guiding the building of a socialist power to victory with his seasoned and wise leadership.

As it regarded making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people as its invariable mode of existence and a revolutionary party trait, the WPK could demonstrate its dignity as the invincible party and the great people's party that leads the revolution and construction along the road of victory under the absolute support and trust of the popular masses, despite any trials.
