The Ryuwon Footwear Factory is lowering production costs by completing the method for making insoles with waste plastic, and the Pyongyang Leather Shoes Factory established a system of producing soles with reclaimed rubber by recycling waste tires.
Besides, the Mangyongdae Leather Shoes Factory is increasing productivity by making effective use of waste plastic in producing injection molded boots, and the Sinuiju Footwear Factory set up a new line of maturing rubber waste.
