As he assigned the three tasks for the building of a new Korea, President Kim Il Sung set forth the founding of a party as the primary task and wisely led the preparations for it.
On the basis of full preparations, he held the historic party inaugural meeting on October 10 1945 in Pyongyang after the preliminary meeting for the founding of a party on October 5 and formed the central organizing committee of the Communist Party of North Korea as the party central leadership organ. As a result, a Juche-type revolutionary party, guided by the Juche idea and representing the independent interests of the Korean people, was born and the historic cause of party founding, which began with the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union, was brilliantly put into reality.
It was a historic event which heralded to the world that the Korean people would be able to successfully shape their future independently under the guidance of the revolutionary party.
