The Korean people always call first the Workers’ Party of Korea whenever they are both in happy times or bad.

It is because that they have keenly felt in life experience that the WPK is the one and only embrace which firmly defends their destiny and relieve them of misfortunes and pain even if they are exposed to the danger of war and natural disasters.

In August some years ago, several areas in South Hwanghae Province were hit by typhoon.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the typhoon-stricken areas in the province in order to learn about the damage.

Noting that it is one of top-priority tasks to be surely carried out by the Party to go among the people to share weal and woe with them and encourage and sincerely help them when they are in trouble and feel difficult, and that the Party Central Committee should always be with them when they are in happy times or bad, he instructed every department of the Party Central Committee to turn out in the rehabilitation of the damaged farmland and crops in the province.

In May last year when the country was faced with a serious epidemic situation, he convened the Eighth Political Bureau Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee. At the meeting, laying down the principles to be thoroughly maintained in the emergency anti-epidemic work and tasks, he earnestly said that all Party organizations and power organs should prove in practice their loyalty to the Party and the revolution, devotion to the people and responsibility for their duty at the current grand epidemic prevention campaign to defend the people’s lives and safety.

Noting that the time had come when the Party Central Committee would prove its leadership role once again in the face of the trials of history, he stated: It is time for us to realize more deeply for what we are needed and for whom we have to fight at the cost of our lives. Our Party will bravely discharge its important responsibility and duty and take full responsibility for the security and wellbeing of the country and the people by displaying infinite loyalty and devotion.

He ensured that a special order of the Party Central Military Commission was issued to dispatch the powerful forces in the medical sector of the Korean People’s Army so as to immediately stabilize the supply of medicines in the capital city of Pyongyang. And he donated the officinal medicines prepared by his family to the Headquarters Committee of the WPK Central Committee with the resolution to always share his destiny with the people and with a fervent prayer that peace and laughter would settle again in all families across the country at an early date, and asked it to send them to families in difficulty.

In the period of the top emergency anti-epidemic campaign, which could be called the worst-ever turmoil since the founding of the country, the Korean people cherished deeper in their mind the WPK as the image of a sincere mother as it got closer to them in difficult times to share destiny and joy and sorrow with them.

As they have the great WPK that defends them in the face of severe trials and provides them with a beautiful life, they always feel reassured and are filled with firm confidence in and optimism about the future.
