Leader KimJong Il called officials on February 15, Juche 54(1965), and told themabout the problems arising inimproving the people's living standards which he discovered as he looked rounddifferent parts of Pyongyang and local areas.
That day he said thatthe people entrusted their all to the Workers’ Party and called it the motherlyParty. He noted that Party officials should have a genuinely motherly characterin order to fulfil their responsibility and role as officials of the motherlyParty and live up to the people’s trust and expectations. It is mothers’ wishto provide their children with all the good things in the world and it is theirtrait to brave any difficulties and danger if it is for their children, hestated.
He said that mothers puttheir heart and soul into everything for the good of their children and thatthough they take great pains for the latter, they regard it as their pleasureand pride. If officials possess such motherly feelings and traits, always thinkof the people first and strive for their well-being, there would be noinsolvable problem in the people’s living, he added.
