Graduates from normal universities and teachers training colleges across the country are volunteering to teach children at remote areas, with a resolve to contribute to the development of the country’s education by helping improve education in local and rural areas.
Over 40 graduates from Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College and 16 graduates from Wonsan University of Education made up their mind to volunteer to work at schools on islands and in frontline and mountainous areas.
An educator at Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College, together with his family, offered to go to a remote school in Kimhwa County.
More than ten graduates from Nampho Teachers Training College and Nampho University of Education decided to devote their all to the education at schools in Samjiyon City in the northern part of the country and on islands in the West Sea of Korea.
Well over 20 graduates from Kanggye University of Education and Kanggye Teachers Training College requested they are sent to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and faraway schools.
Discharged soldiers, who graduated from Phyongsong Teachers Training College and Phyongsong University of Education, and their families volunteered to teach children of service personnel and those in mountain villages.
Relevant units have provided the volunteers with educational apparatuses, teaching aids and souvenirs with sincerity.
