The Ensemble of the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea gave a music and dance performance at the Ponghwa Art Theatre in Pyongyang on April 25 to celebrate the 92nd birthday of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.
Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and other senior Party, government and military officials, officers and men of armed forces organs, officials of ministries and national agencies, officials and working people in Pyongyang and teaching staff and students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School.
The performance began with a prelude “Song of Founding of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Army” and a revolutionary song “The Guerrilla March.” Put on the stage were male quintet and chorus “We Love the Party Flag,” orchestral music “The Arms of Mt Paektu Declare” and other numbers.
The performers sang highly of the steadfast revolutionary faith, patriotic spirit, matchless heroism and indomitable mettle of the armed forces of the DPRK that have steered the great transformation into a rich country with strong army, always and firmly upholding the Party’s ideas and cause, the sacred sovereignty of the glorious DPRK and the honour of the Korean people with matchless arms.
The audience was filled with deep emotions with the playing of a song “Dear Father” representing the boundless reverence of all the people charmed by the great personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who brings eternal happiness and joy to the large socialist family with his ardent love and devotion.
The performance ended with finale “We Will Defend General Kim Jong Un with Our Lives” and a revolutionary song “Song of the Revolution.”
