The construction site of Jonwi Street attracts special attention as the theatre of activity of young people in the DPRK, where ideal streets for people are built one after another.

The builders of the street are young people as its name shows.

Thanks to the policy of attaching importance to the youth of the Workers’ Party of Korea which puts them forward as masters of the construction of a prosperous and powerful country, young people took full charge of building a new street in distinctive styles in the northern gateway to the capital city of Pyongyang and the Party’s care for them is endless.

Many young men and women from all parts of the country are growing up as performers of feats in the construction site of the new street while burning their hearts with the mind of repaying the trust of the WPK and patriotic enthusiasm, and beautiful stories are told in great numbers.

Among them is an unusual love story of a young man and woman.

Kim Chol Yong and Kim Ye Hyang have different native places, workplaces and past careers. However, their love developed in the construction site with one desire.

Their love was getting deeper day by day, but it remained as a “secret” because they promised to marry after the construction was completed.

As paper cannot cover fire, their true and beautiful love gradually came to become a matter of interest of other people and their wedding was prepared under the close concern of everyone.

Their fellows made preparations for their wedding with competitive enthusiasm and officials of the Pyongyang Ostrich Farm and the Ministry of Culture where Kim Chol Yong and Kim Ye Hyang worked provided them with daily necessities with parental affection.

Officials of the Ministry of Culture were oversolicitous lest the preparation for Kim Ye Hyang, who lost her father, should fall behind that for the man and those of the Pyongyang Ostrich Farm showed every sincerity to arrange wedding for the famous innovator Kim Chol Yong.

Shortly ago, an unusual wedding ceremony was held in the construction site of Jonwi Street.

The couple sang the song “Song in Praise of Youth” by reflecting their mind to shoulder a heavy burden of the country in front of many people, who blessed their future happiness more warmly before their family members.

The story of their love and marriage has become a topic among many people along with the stories about the feats performed by young builders of the street from morning to evening every day and the beautiful stories about virtue and affection with which they help and care for one another.
