The US Department of State has recently issued the “Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2023” and the international community is getting more vociferous against it.

A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said in a press conference on April 23 that the China-related contents of the report are full of political lies and prejudice, adding though the US picks up a quarrel with human rights situations in nearly 200 countries and regions, it keeps mum about its human rights situation. This has revealed its pursuit of hegemony, tyranny, violent nature and falsity and double dealing in speech and act once again, he added.

The Venezuelan foreign minister denounced in his statement that the country reports on human rights practices were useless documents full of lies and falsity. He said that the US is a heinous state of evils that violated human rights and committed anti-humanitarian crimes and an empire hostile toward mankind devoid of ethics and morality, where man-hating ideas and racist policies are rampant. It has not qualification or justification to talk about the human rights of other countries.

The Mexican president criticized in a press conference on April 26 that the US’ publication of a report estimating human rights situations of other countries is the violation of sovereignty of other countries and peoples, while the Pakistani foreign ministry said in a statement that the contents of the report are unfair and based on incorrect information and completely separated from reality.

It is too natural for them to say so.

The US has the worst human rights record in the world.

In the US devoid of the function of the system to defend the rights of citizen, many poor and unemployed people wander about streets as the bipolarization of "the rich getting ever richer and the poor ever poorer" is intensifying. According to conservative statistics released by the US authorities, the country has over 40 million poor people. At least 500 000 people are leading a wandering life without fixed shelters every night, while 65 million people give up treatment due to expensive doctor’s fee.

Various violent crimes are rampant, including manslaughter and robbery. About 170 cases of gun violence are witnessed every day on average, and the mortality caused by gun violence is reportedly far beyond the number of Americans killed in the wars recorded in its history and two rounds of world wars.

Due to white supremacist principle, deep-rooted racial discrimination, the lives of residents whose skin colours are different are exposed to threat every moment. In particular, the killing of black men by white cops happens one after another. That is why all the black parents of the US tell their children that they look like a prey for the policemen, urging them not to talk back and disobey.

The US is interfering in the internal affairs of other countries on the pretext of “anti-terror war” without joining the human rights conventions including the Convention on the Rights of the Child and is triggering many wars and acts of military provocation. It is also the US which takes illegal and unilateral coercive measures against the people. A large number of tortures and maltreatment have been committed at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp for the past 20 years and scores of prisoners are subjected to inhumane and systematic tortures there every day.

A Chinese international broadcasting station said last year in an article entitled “The American-style human rights are the nightmare of the US”, that the US politicians must not find fault with other countries as they have no qualification to do so with such messy domestic human rights situation of their own, adding that the American-style human rights are the most dreadful nightmare of Americans and world people as well.

The US must put to rights its own domestic affairs before talking about others’ human rights. This is the unanimous demand of the world’s people.
