Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea stressed the need to successfully attain the struggle goals of this year by dint of unity and unyielding patriotic struggle of the whole Party and all the people and thus make 2024 a year of new changes, filled with successes worthier than last year's, says Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an editorial.
The three-year struggle since the Eighth Party Congress was important in accelerating the comprehensive development of socialist construction, but the share and significance of this year is particularly important, the editorial says, and goes on:
To successfully conclude this year with proud successes by putting greater spurs to the struggle for the second half of the year is an urgent requirement for securing a clear practical guarantee for fulfilling the five-year plan.
To make a vigorous advance in the second half of the year is a worthwhile struggle to expand and develop the phase of comprehensive and radical development and the spirit of upturn of our state and hasten the realization of our people's cherished desire.
Only when all the tasks facing us this year are thoroughly carried out without any mistake and without any shortcomings, can the people's dream of living as the master of a powerful, highly-civilized and advanced country be translated into reality in the near future while demonstrating to the whole world the development capability and the accelerating force of the powerful country of Juche that are more powerful than any challenge and obstacle.
Everyone should live and struggle, full of faith and confidence that the idea, line and struggle strategy of the Party Central Committee are science and victory and that any tasks can be surely carried out despite manifold difficulties.
The editorial calls upon all the people to unite with loyalty and patriotism and perfectly achieve the struggle goals of this year and thus glorify 2024 as a year of great leap forward and victory to be specially recorded in the history of the country. -0-
