Today, our motherland is shining bright on this planet as an invincible socialist power and fortress of independence, achieving admirable miracles and exploits thanks to the great ideology and leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

Twelve years back on 17 July 2012, all our people and officers and men of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) held respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem as Marshal of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea - a reflection of their boundless respect and ardent loyalty. It was an auspicious day to be specially recorded in the history of the nation and the Juche-oriented army building.

The great events and miracles our people have witnessed in the historic course of 12 harsh years are unthinkable apart from the commitment shown by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who demonstrates to the whole world the might and dignity of the country through his confidence in victory, matchless courage and seasoned leadership.

With firm faith and unshakable will, he has brought to reality the great programs of prioritizing people and army, further consolidating our single-hearted unity.

Under his leadership the whole people and the army have brought about uninterrupted innovations and successive leaps forward in all fields of revolution and construction racing against time.

During those days resilience efforts were made to recover from the damage caused by natural calamities; miracles were worked out in building in a short period of time modern streets, greenhouse farms and many more institutions of happiness and civilization that contribute to the people’s material and cultural life.

It is the noble will of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that military strength is synonymous with national power and therefore the prosperity of the country and well-being and happiness of the people can only be ensured when the military power is strengthened in every way. With such a will in his mind, he set it as the general task of army building to model the entire army on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, and strengthened and developed the KPA into the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces.

Under his wise leadership, our armed forces are now demonstrating to the whole world its valiant spirit and invincible combat efficiency of an army with firm faith and ideology which is boundlessly loyal to the unified leadership of the Party.

Our soldiers have now been further strengthened as a-match-for-a-hundred combatants who can defeat any formidable enemy at one stroke. They are also engaged in the most difficult and laborious fronts of socialist construction, keeping in their mind the noble slogan “We serve the fatherland and the people!”

Thus, foreign friends expressed their feelings saying that under the seasoned leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , the DPRK has consolidated its strong national defense capability equipped with nuclear armed forces while countering vicious sanctions and blockade by the imperialist allies and is writing a new era of transformation in its socialist construction.

Thanks to the ever-victorious leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , our country will only record victory and glory in its history and will surely become a socialist power shining all over the world.
