The construction and remodelling of several universities goes full steam ahead in different parts of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The Ministry of Education, the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the central commanding group for renovating schools, and provinces are giving impetus to the work.
The construction of a library at Koryo Songgyungwan University is now under way at the final stage.
Meanwhile, the university and relevant units are pushing the manufacture of hundreds of pieces of library furniture.
Amid the ongoing construction of Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College, projects for building Nos. 1 and 2 have been brought to completion, and dormitory and library are under construction.
Construction and renovation projects are also in full swing at Chongjin O Jung Hup University of Education, Hamhung Choe Hui Suk Teachers Training College, Hyesan Teachers Training College, Sinuiju Cha Kwang Su University of Education and Kanggye University of Education.
The publishing house of Sukchon College of Agriculture and other projects have already been completed and the construction of the school building is under way. The plastering of internal and external walls of a multi-functional gymnasium at Chongjin College of Agriculture and the laying of the foundation for a gymnasium at Wonsan University of Agriculture make headway.
