In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea doctors regard it as their duty to show all sincerity in their medical services, giving top priority to protecting the health and lives of the people.

Medical workers of the Pyongyang Municipal Hospital of Koryo Medicine are also devoting their sincerity to the treatment of patients with warm love for the human beings.

Here is Jong Mi Ok who recovered from her illness after receiving treatment at the hospital.

"All of a sudden, it was difficult for me to walk, which was followed by paraplegia. So I received medical treatment here at the hospital. Thanks to the utmost sincerity of doctors, I recovered myself from my illness and could leave the hospital."

It was in April that Jong Mi Ok entered the hospital.

At that time she could not walk properly without the help of her family members.

Examining her, some doctors considered that it would be almost impossible to treat her with the established concept.

But medical workers at the acupuncture and moxibustion department buckled down to the treatment of the patient with the mind that they can cure any diseases when they regard her as their own flesh and blood and devote their sincerity to her.

They held consultations of the department on tens of occasions to make rational plans of treatment.

Busy as they were with treatment, they studied latest literature to find out effective therapies.

Thanks to their devoted efforts, the paralyzed senses of the patient revived one by one and more than 20 days later, there were changes in her ankle and knee joints.

It was the first signal giving confidence that she could rise up to her feet. They kept combining effective therapies to further increase the curative effect.

Nurses prepared foods and tonics good for recovering her health at each meal, making a contribution to her rehabilitation.

Like this, the medical workers of the hospital showed their sincerity to the patient day and night, which became the "best medicine". At last, the patient came to walk by herself in more than 60 days.
