Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Komdok MiningComplex one day in May Juche 98(2009).
He acquainted himself withthe situation of the complex in detail. He was very pleased to hear that corn,soybeans, vegetables and meat were produced in large quantities and supplied tothe miners.
That day he was especiallysatisfied with the miners’ lounge at the Kumgol Mine.
After looking round the bathroomand sauna, he went to the dining hall of innovators and saw various dishesarranged on the tables with a broad smile. An official proudly told him about theachievements made in supply service work.
The Chairman said that it wasgreat and that the miners might be pleased with it. No matter how precious thetreasure in the ground may be, the health of workers, the invaluable treasuresof the Workers’ Party and the revolution, cannot be bartered for that, he said.
