Of all kinds of human rights crimes rampant all over the world, the human trafficking of buying and selling persons and treating them as goods can be said as the most unethical and decadent crime trampling upon the dignity and rights of human.

10-plus years have passed since July 30 was set as the World Day against Trafficking in Persons at the 68 th session of the UNGA in December 2013 to protect the rights of the victims of human trafficking including women and children, but the criminal situation is getting serious with each day.

The human trafficking crimes committed over the ages are getting worse despite the efforts of the international community, causing misery and suffering to numerous people. This is because the main culprits of the crime are shamelessly discussing human rights issues in the international arena and muddle up the unanimous will of the mankind to improve human rights into fruitless talks of repeated concern and appeals.

The U.S. and the West are holding sway over the irrational international economic order and are reaping huge profits while forcing the developing countries to accept lopsided economic structure and debt crisis. They are the masterminds who are reducing countless people on the brink of hunger and poverty into unemployment and turning them into refugees. It is none other than the U.S. and the West who are pushing them into the abyss of human trafficking.

The U.S. and the West are well aware that their countries are the hot spots of crimes where numerous women and children from various parts of the world become the subject of forced labor and suffer the fate of modern slaves. Nonetheless, they habitually admonish victimized countries over “issues of human rights” and chant about “cooperation” in human rights field like a monk’s prayer. The U.S. and the West are indeed the sponsors and manipulators of human trafficking crime.

You cannot feed grass to a wolf which developed a taste of blood. As such, international concern or appeals are meaningless to the U.S. and the West who are only after vast amounts of profit and world domination. They are the tumor of human rights violation and have to be surgically rooted out. It is a self-evident fact that if we do not take action, the world will be plunged into darkness where only the fittest survive and not an ounce of justice or honesty exists.

The injustice having its root in futile illusion and daydream, and the wild speculation and condemnation from the reactionary forces are never enough to hide the justice and truth.

In this world, the DPRK is but the genuine country of the people that has embodied in its Party’s and state’s political philosophy the idea of giving top priority to the people’s demands and interests by regarding them as the heaven.

Our country regards the people - the basis of the country - as the most valuable beings and sets it as the foremost national policy to show unreserved devotion to the people even in a harsh situation of confrontation of both ideology and strength with the hostile powers that stand against us. Recently, our country vigorously undertakes a large development project to provide not only the urban but also the rural people with sufficient and modern living conditions to have nothing to envy in the world leaving a strong impression on the whole world.

In the genuine country for people and under the socialist system, our women are considered as powerful forces and pillars of society; respect for women is widely accepted as national manners; children are held as queens and kings of the country and grow up sound and strong. In such a country “human rights violation” has no room to exist. This is why the “creative skill” of the U.S. and the West that produces a variety of plots every year finding fault with the so called “human rights issue” in our country is greeted with derision and disgust of our people.

Our people are quite well aware of the fact that this worthwhile human dignity and happiness they are enjoying now never come of itself.

Under the wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , the great father of the people, we will bolster up the military power to the height of absolute strength that no one can dare to provoke and build a more beautiful paradise of people, a socialist paradise, envied by the world and fight to the end without tolerating even the slightest compromise against human rights violations that obliterate the sovereignty and dignity of humankind. This is the firm will and resolution of our people that will never change in the future too.
