Working people's organizations have turned out as one to stabilize the living of the people in the special-level disaster emergency areas in hearty response to the decision of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on rapidly rehabilitating the flood damage in North Phyongan and Jagang provinces.
Officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and youth league committees at all levels and the youth league members render material aid and moral support to the people in the afflicted areas.
Young people at many units including the Pyongyang General Electric Cable Factory 326, the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, the Musan Mining Complex and the Kangso Footwear Factory showed their sincerity to the people who suffered disaster.
Trade union officials and members across the country also show their sincerity in the work for preparing relief materials.
Officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea sent materials including different kinds of clothes and shoes to the afflicted areas.
More than 100,000 workers and trade unionists took part in the work of assistance.
Officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and the women's union members throughout the country prepared foodgrains and basic foodstuffs.
Agricultural workers, too, join in the work for the people in the affected areas.
Officials and members of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and its affiliated organizations at all levels including the South Hamgyong, South Phyongan and Kangwon Provincial Committees of the Union have prepared tens of thousand items of daily necessaries and foodstuffs.
