Building materials production units across the country are making successes in ensuring home production of and self-sufficiency in finishing building materials true to the grand rural construction plan of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The Anbyon Ceramic Factory in Kangwon Province greatly increased the tile production capacity by persistently pushing ahead with the modernization of processes such as the manufacture and installation of a press of large capacity and automation of weighing raw materials. The Wonsan Glass Bottle Factory established new glass fibre and thermic rays reflex glass production processes, turning out quality building parts.
The South Hamgyong Provincial Building Materials Institute made permeable colour footway blocks with locally available raw materials, contributing to city beautification. Building materials production units in the city of Tanchon and Sinhung and Toksong counties produce quality processed serpentine goods and send them to the rural housing construction sites.
The Sonbong District Construction Brigade in the city of Rason ensured the home production of polyvinyl chloride plastic goods by modernizing the raw materials washing and drying processes. Other building materials production units in different parts of the country are strengthening their material and technical foundations to increase the production of building parts needed for rural housing construction both in quality and quantity.
