On November 15, 2022, news spread on the new modern rural dwelling houses built in Solbong-ri of Kosan Country in Kangwon Province. Since then, housewarming parties were held in over 510 farm villages across the country.

Under the Party’s grand plans for rural construction, modern and civilized rural dwelling houses with distinctive features are being built across the country in recent years.

Witnessing the residents moving into the new houses, our people are unable to contain their joy as the benevolent policies of the Workers’ Party of Korea have transformed the rural areas into a paradise for the people with better working and living conditions.

Such a wonderful reality is the brilliant fruit of the great love of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who wishes to make the farmers lead happy and civilized lives by transforming all rural areas of the country into a socialist paradise and ideal villages for the people in the near future.

At the 4 th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a historic report entitled "Let Us Open Up a New Great Era of Our Style Socialist Rural Development" during the discussion for the third agenda item. In the report, he said that we should open up a new great era of a great leap forward in socialist rural development and set forth grand and important tasks for transforming all rural villages into affluent and civilized ideal socialist villages of high standards similar to those in Samjiyon City.

To ensure that the rural revolutionary programme of the party is implemented without delay, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took all the measures needed for the construction of rural dwelling houses including organization of city and country construction brigades and supply of construction equipment, tools and materials. During those days, he gave guidance to more than 2,000 miniatures of design.

When the people in the world continue to heave tearful sigh saying it is their lifelong desire to have a house of their own, villages like fairyland of socialist culture is being built one after another in the DPRK and emotional voices ring out all over the country that here I am at my sweet home provided by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

The reality is a typical example that highlights the superiority of the people-first policy of the Workers` Party of Korea (WPK) and our socialist system.

That is why foreign personages who visited the DPRK in April expressed their excitement after witnessing first-hand how the policy of the WPK of looking after the lives of the people is being realized in the country, saying that the developments and successes achieved were amazing and magical.
