Russian officials asserted that the Ukrainian attack on Kursk was orchestrated by the U.S.
Russian foreign minister Lavrov stated recently that Ukraine would not have decided the attack on Kursk without the instruction from the U.S.
He said that it is a commonsense that Zelensky cannot make such a decision. Although Zelensky brags that they have set up a buffer zone and are incurring losses on Russia, Ukraine would not have taken such a resolute action if it hadn’t been for the instructions of the U.S., he revealed.
Meanwhile, the Russian ambassador to the U.S. said that Kiev can do nothing without Washington’s consent and added that the U.S. was informed about the Ukrainian army’s attack on Kursk beforehand.
The ambassador-at-large of the Russian foreign ministry also denounced in his interview with Russian TV1 the Ukrainian attack on Kursk as an act of terrorism aimed at destabilizing the situation in Russia. He said that the attack itself is clearly an invasion Ukraine prepared with the backing of the West.
