With recent leakage of the secret behind the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline which had been veiled in mystery so far, it is again under the spotlight of the Western media.

The “Nord Stream” is a gas pipeline transporting natural gas from Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea. Now, its operation is brought to a halt due to the explosion of gas pipeline in the end of September 2022.

Of late, German media including ARD TV, “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, and “Deutsche Welle” reported that the German Prosecution issued an arrest warrant for one of the three Ukrainian suspects implicated in the explosion as it found the smoking gun connecting him to the criminal act during the investigation.

They also observed that the truth behind the explosion of the “Nord Stream” which both Russia and the West had for long exchanged mutual recrimination over its accountability has been brought to light eventually.

The “Wall Street Journal” and ORF TV of Austria reported that the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline explosion was ordered by the senior officials of Kiev, and even President Zelensky supported it.

In an interview with the German newspaper “Die Welt”, the former chief of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany (BND) said that the explosion of the “Nord Stream” gas pipeline had been perpetrated by the Ukrainians, and the raid of that scale is impossible without the strong support of a state; this explosion cannot be done by private individuals as claimed by other people; this is an act of state terrorism and German should claim for compensation as this caused German an enormous loss which amounts up to € 20 or € 30 billion.

Media and experts commented that the German government is nonplussed at the fact that important infrastructure had been destroyed by a state which is receiving an abundant supply of weapon and financial support from it, saying that Ukrainian government ordered an attack on the energy supply system for German.

And it stressed that it is doubtful whether or not the Germany government and public sentiment would tolerate the attack on energy infrastructure by Ukraine as it is regarded as an act of war according to the international law and even as an act which can invoke the article of NATO on collective defence.
