U.S. Politicians Denounced for Anti-China Activities

Date: 16/09/2024 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

The chairman of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and several members of the U.S. Congress recently visited Japan and clarified that the purpose of their visit was to discuss the issues on U.S.-Japan cooperation against increasing provocations of the Chinese Communist Party and to demand Japan’s continued restrictions on Chinese Communist Party’s malicious economic activities.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China resolutely opposed and denounced these accusations and commented as follows:

The U.S. House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, in pursuit of its political purposes, had been persistently smearing the image of the Chinese Communist Party.

Such remarks of these congressmen who are awash with cold-war mentality and ideological prejudice are overstatement on “threat from China” to incite confrontation between camps and China resolutely opposes this.

China has been consistent in its stand that cooperation among countries should benefit the promotion of peace, stability and prosperity of the region and should not be aimed at or infringe upon interests of a 3 rd party.

The maneuvers of forming factions and putting up “small fences” of isolation and chauvinism do not run parallel with the trend of the times and will surely end up losing popularity.

China strongly demands that the U.S. politicians understand China’s development in an objective and reasonable manner, stop encouraging confrontation among camps and instigating “neo-cold war” as well as refrain from complicating the situation in the region.
