Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, understood agriculture and damage rehabilitation of North Phyongan Province on the spot.
He learned about farming in Pakchon and Kwaksan counties and said the agricultural officials should give effective guidance for winding up this year's farming with success.
At the sites of damage rehabilitation in the city of Sinuiju and Uiju County, he encouraged the builders working hard at the construction sites and acquainted himself with the projects in detail.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed the issues on directing efforts to researches into farming technique according to weather conditions, keeping and managing the reaped grains properly without any waste and making good preparations for the next year's farming, and the issue on increasing the proportion of the construction work done by machines, firmly building up the ranks of skilled workers, supplying materials and equipment in time and paying deep attention to the living of builders before taking necessary measures.
