The Sunchon Thermal Power Station boosts production by introducing new methods for improving the performance of equipment.
The station manufactured and introduced a cleaner which removes ashes in the waste gas channels and heating facilities by using sound waves.
In the past, pulverized coal combustion ash adhered to the heat transfer surface of super heater, air economizer, etc. during boiler operation, and a hard slag layer was formed by melted ash in the gas channel, which reduced heat transfer performance and increased heat loss in the power generating equipment.
In the course of analyzing advanced scientific and technological data, technicians have focused on the use of the sound wave energy.
On learning that resonance can be created if the frequency of sound waves reaches the natural frequency of the combustible residue particles, they worked hard to develop and introduce an ash cleaner to suit the actual conditions of the station.
After completing designs, they manufactured a cleaner which is cheap and convenient to use and whose all components meet the technical requirements.
The introduction of the cleaner increased the feed water temperature of the heat exchanger output, which uses waste gas heat to preheat the boiler feed water, by 8 °C and decreased the waste gas temperature by 10 °C, thus improving the boiler thermal efficiency.
The station also improved the separator to increase the efficiency of separating pulverized coal by 1.75 times, which greatly increased the power output per boiler.
The Sunchon Thermal Power Station was nominated as one of the top ten enterprises of 2023 for having increased the power production by improving production and management activities.
