October 5 is World Teachers’ Day.

On this day, our teachers are recollecting with deep emotion boundless parental affection shown by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ; he called our teachers unassuming heroes and true patriots and also showed them great love and care unsparingly with fatherly affection. Under such care of the Party, our teachers have thus grown up to be reliable teachers.

One day in October 2013, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un participated in the inaugural ceremony of apartment buildings built for teachers of Kim Il Sung University and looked around the flats in person.

When he entered a cozy living room of a flat, he asked his suite members to promptly install the LCD TV set he had personally brought, saying that he would leave after the TV set was in place.

When the TV set was finally installed, he was very pleased and said that the TV set fits well with the size of the room.

Looking at the set of dishes, he also said that he had been thinking into the night what more to give to the teachers of Kim Il Sung University when they were moving into a new flat, then decided to get six-people set of dishes to be placed in the cupboard.

Having devoted his all to provide our teachers with excellent flats, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un thus kept on thinking what more to give to our devoted teachers as if what he was about to give to them were not enough.

One day, he was reading a translated text and pointing to one part of the text, he asked whether it was wrong. It had been translated by a teacher.

The translator was very embarrassed and didn’t know what to do. Then respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally explained down to the minutest detail how a foreign text should be translated.

He also gently reminded the translator that foreign language specialists were supposed to have abundant specialized knowledge and general knowledge covering all fields including politics, the economy, culture and military affairs along with a wide vocabulary of the language of their expertise. Only then they could carry out any task entrusted upon them without faltering, he said.

The teacher translator then realized that the primary task for the teachers was to raise the younger generation to be able workers of the country, a very important undertaking requiring tremendous sense of responsibility, and in order to carry out that task, in-depth and wide-ranging specialized knowledge and general knowledge in their fields of expertise is a prerequisite. Only then the teachers can truly contribute to prosperity of the country.

Every word of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was a valuable teaching and an earnest wish that the teacher would become a competent educator with constant capacity building so as to nurture the future of fatherland.

With the Juche-oriented idea on education set forth by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , the father and mentor of our teachers, our country will soon shine as a world-class country of education and a socialist power with abundant talent resources, drawing on the huge army of reliable teachers who have grown up under his care.
