The Natural History Museum stands out with Dinosaur Park on the ground floor, which covers an area of nearly 400m 2 .
The park has dozens of dinosaurs, movable and immovable, set against a background of the contemporary natural environment.
It features the most representative species of the dinosaurs that existed on the earth during the Mesozoic era, or “the Age of Reptiles.” The models are life-sized or down-sized.
Among them is a predator called the Tyrannosaurus.
Curator Ri Kyong Mi says that plant-eating dinosaurs lived in groups and meat-eating dinosaurs acted alone.
The Tyrannosaurus was the most predatory species which thrived in the Cretaceous period. It had long and stout hind legs with a huge, thick head, not so big eyes and thin, short forelegs. Some of them were about 12m long, weighed 6 625kg and lived on plant-eating dinosaurs.
The park intuitively showcases that dinosaurs, once legendary animals, ever existed on the earth.
