Working Invariably for Scores of Years

Pak Ki Chol, a teacher at Tongdaewon Senior Middle School in Tongdaewon District, is a meritorious person of socialist patriotism and October 8 model educator, who brought up numerous reserves for artiste talents for 39 years.

He let a lot of his disciples defend the motherland and formed relations with the soldiers of the Kamnamu (persimmon tree) Company of the Korean People’s Army and has assisted them for several decades.

20-odd years ago, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Kamnamu Company and enjoyed a performance given by the company soldiers. The Chairman praised an accordion player, who is a disciple of Pak Ki Chol.

Then a lot of people congratulated Pak and he redoubled his determination to grow up students well so that they can please the Party. He has devoted his pure conscience to the education of rising generation while assisting the army. So, his disciples have vied with each other to go to the posts defending the country.

Remembering Pak Ki Chol, who has been invariably faithful to the Party, his disciples have undergone military service well keeping in mind the request of their parents and alma mater.

Although She Is Old

Ryom Hui Ran, a worker of the Munchon City Commercial Agency, is over sixty now.

But she continues aiding soldiers, rain or shine.

She says:

The soldiers call me "our mother" and I also regard them as my true sons and daughters.

I am always encouraged by the soldiers who are devoting their precious youthful days to defending the motherland, so I can’t give up aiding soldiers.

Once, when she was taken ill, her children tried to stop her going for aid materials, saying that they would go to the posts with aiding materials in their mother’s stead.

Then, Ryom said that aiding soldiers is not what we do merely on good days, and continued:

You know, the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un invited us, activists in traits of assisting army, to the celebrations of the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army and the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, and praised us as the model of patriot.

I ought to repay his great loving care with my devotion to my dying breath.

At last, the children could not dissuade her from going a long way for aiding the soldiers.

Even now, she, together with her three children and grandchildren, continues aiding soldiers.

Thanks to such patriots who are devoting their sincerity to soldiers keeping in mind the preciousness of the motherland, our motherland is powerful and our rosy future is guaranteed.

Sincerity Devoted to Soldiers

Jong Yon Ok, head of the Hanggu District Pombit Material Provision Station, every month sends aid materials to soldiers who are defending the posts.

It has been 10-odd years since she began aiding soldiers.

Then, cultural and welfare establishments were newly being built at the station.

One day during the construction, she, working together with some employees, was helped by passing soldiers, and their help continued till the completion of the establishments.

She was very thankful for their deeds.

Otherwise, it made her feel guilty when she asked herself what she had done for the soldiers yet.

From then on, she began aiding soldiers.

Despite her sickness, she came a long way for soldiers, and after her return from socialist construction for aiding, she would prepare many aid materials till late at nights.

She also took good care of war veterans’ living and devoted her efforts to socialist constructions while continuing her aiding to soldiers.

Whenever people praised her deeds, she would say:

My deed is really a trifle when it compared with our soldiers’ devotion. I always feel regret that my efforts and sincerity have not been sufficient enough yet.
