The U.S. Secretary of Treasury recently slandered China saying that the Chinese economy excessively relies upon export and expressed a stand that U.S. will pursue fair and equal trade. Concerning this, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China strongly denounced the U.S.
The U.S. side is always mentioning that it is suffering losses and pursues absolutely equal trade. It goes against common sense in economy and is an underestimation of the judgement of U.S. enterprises and consumers, the spokesperson highlighted.
The essence of the economic trade between China and the U.S. is mutual benefit and co-prosperity, and the tariff or trade war will ultimately lead to harming itself, the spokesperson mentioned and stressed that the U.S. should learn lessons and change its approach.
The spokesperson revealed that the U.S. will not be able to cover its intention to contain and put pressure on China by politicizing and weaponizing economic trade issues, no matter how it tries to embellish in whatsoever words.
