The Chollima Steel Complex has carried out a technical innovation project to significantly reduce the time and coal consumption needed to increase the temperature of the steel ladle, thus providing a technical guarantee for lowering the cost of steel production.
The Silli Coal Mine under the Anju Area Coal-mining Complex developed a portable coal cutter capable of raising the working efficiency in the low-seam area where machines cannot be deployed.
The cutter is said to be easy to handle and make.
The South Hwanghae Provincial Power Distribution Station manufactured a new oil filter for a large mobile transformer, a key to uninterrupted power supply to the rural areas in the province. The filter is expected to bring enormous profits to the country and be introduced across the country.
The Taean Friendship Glass Factory provided a scientific and technological guarantee for producing heat-resistant tempered glass with domestically available raw materials and the Sinuiju Spinning Machine Factory developed the technology of automatically controlling high-speed drawing machines to further improve their performance.
