The State Council of China recently issued the “2024 Report on Human Rights Situation in the United States” and exposed the gloomy human rights situation of the United States.
The report stated that, under the influence of power and capital, American-style human rights have become a tool in the political arena and a chip in the power “casino”. It disclosed that the reality of the U.S. is that money controls politics, politics kidnaps judicature, electoral regulations oppress voters, and political violence is a frequent occurrence.
Human rights are being ruthlessly trampled upon within the U.S., it pointed out, such as the rise of inflation and the consequential widening of the gap between the rich and the poor, the prevalence of racial discrimination in all sectors, and the widespread violent crimes like family violence and child maltreatment.
The report denounced the U.S. for its long pursuit of supremacy and unilateralism, flagrantly violating the international laws and basic norms of international relations, recklessly infringing upon the human rights of other countries, and posing serious threats to global peace, security and development.
