Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory letter from Comrade Gennadi Andreyevich Zhuganov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on October 10 on the occasion of the 80 th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
The strong Korean people have not stepped back even a moment on the road of independence despite such severe trials and difficulties as the Japanese colonial rule, the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists and the persistent military threat, the letter said, stressing that the excellent patriots of Korea united around the Workers’ Party of Korea led the national liberation movement and put the country’s economy and defence capabilities on a completely new level.
It noted that the whole Party work is oriented to attaining the basic goal for improving the wellbeing of the working people under the wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is honorably carrying forward the cause of the outstanding preceding leaders and conducting the gigantic work for strengthening the WPK.
It highly appreciated the long-standing friendly relations with the WPK which were forged on the principles of internationalism, mutual cooperation and joint struggle against the imperialist aggression, and expressed belief that the traditions of genuine friendship and fruitful cooperation between the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Workers’ Party of Korea would grow stronger in the future.
