The workers’ artistic motivational team of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea gave an artistic performance “People’s Country” at the Central Hall of Workers on December 25 to mark Constitution Day of the DPRK.
Among the audience were officials of the GFTUK Central Committee and trade union officials and members and workers in Pyongyang.
Put on the stage were colourful numbers, including the chorus “People’s Country,” the female solo “We Like Socialism” and a comic story.
In the poem and story “The Peerlessly Great Men and the Constitution of the Republic” and other numbers, the performers highly praised the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men who provided a powerful legal weapon for realizing the independence of the working masses for the first time in history and glorified before the whole world the Constitution of the DPRK as the genuine law of the people firmly guaranteeing the rosy future of the country and the dignity and happiness of the people.
When the songs “Let’s Defend Socialism” and “We Are Koreans” reflecting the strong aspiration and desire of the DPRK people resounded, the atmosphere of the performance was revved up.
The performance, which redoubled the enthusiasm of the workers and trade union members for the revolution and struggle, ended with a motivational poem and choruses “We Travel the Road to Socialism Only” and “Pyongyang Is Best.”
