The DPRK is filled with excitement as modern regional-industry factories sprang up in 40 cities and counties together with hospitals and leisure complexes built in several cities and counties from 2024 to the end of last year as a result of the implementation of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.
The new regional-industry factories turn out products inscribed with their brand names to the pleasure of the regional people and the beautiful villages newly built in rural communities provide agricultural workers with a life as civilized as the urban life. In addition, the modern hospitals newly built in the capital city and regions offer advanced medical services.
All the people, whether they live in the capital city, regions or rural areas, enjoy a new life, new civilization and new wellbeing. This reality is an outcome of the people-first politics of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Looking round the leisure complex and regional-industry factories newly built in Kangdong County in December last year, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the regional people are the beneficiaries and enjoyers of the regional development policy in the new era, stressing the need to invariably preserve and glorify the original features of Korean-style socialism where the Party’s policies are mapped out for the people and the people enjoy happiness to their heart’s content thanks to the policies.
Whereas the WPK formulated the policies for regional and rural development by reflecting the desire of the regional people, it adopted the childcare policy as its most important policy to realize the wishes of mothers to see their children grow in good health eating enough dairy products and other nutritious foods.
As far as the construction policy is concerned, the WPK sets it as a principle to make every line and dot in a design embody the desires and demands of the people and their aspirations to new things and development.
It adopted housing construction for the people as an important state policy and strived to execute it without fail. This can be evidenced by the eye-opening reality in the capital city of Pyongyang where wonderful new streets have recently sprung up year on year.
Thanks to the policies of the WPK which invariably maintains its people-oriented character, all the ideals and dreams of the people are translated into brilliant reality.
