Schoolchildren’s Artistic Performance Given to Celebrate Birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Art group members of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace gave a performance “Song of Happiness Resounding in the Sky of February” on February 13 to celebrate the 84th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il .
The performance began with the prelude “We Sing of the Spring Holiday of February”.
In the medley of songs “Love of General”, the performers impressively sang of the noble personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man who made a ceaseless long journey of affection and devotion to defend the bright laughter of schoolchildren and the future of the country.
A duet “Happy New Year’s Day When We Enjoy with the Marshal” dealt with the schoolchildren’s joy of having greeted the New Year’s Day in the presence of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who shows warm love and affection for them.
Schoolchildren put on the stage colourful numbers such as a kayagum ensemble and dance “The Flower Gate of Happiness” and a trio and dance “We Will Become the Marshal’s Soldiers”, which reflect the merry appearance of the new generation growing up to be masters of the future.
The numbers included dances “ Janggo Dance Celebrating Holiday” and “Our Prospering Village”, which show the joy and optimism of schoolchildren celebrating the Day of the Shining Star with beautiful songs and dances.
Among the audience were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league, officials concerned, students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Chilgol Revolutionary School and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
