Flower Festival-2026 took place at the Okryu Exhibition House in the capital city of Pyongyang in April.
With the theme of “More Beautifully, More Fragrantly,” this festival brought together at least 200 units and flower lovers from across the country.
The festival venue, bedecked with different species of flowers, sculptures decorated with various plants and ornamental plants, added more to the atmosphere of springtime.
The eye catcher was the stand that featured the national flag and national emblem.
Visitors admired the fluttering national flag made with red, blue and white flowers and the national emblem depicted with parts of different plants to have a shelf life of scores of years.
Some stands portrayed modern vegetable greenhouses built across the country and their produce, and the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and its fishermen’s residential district, offering a glimpse of the development of the country and the people’s livelihood.
In addition, there were exhibition areas for displaying fine flower species and showing methods of greening parks and rooms. Notices of common knowledge helped visitors obtain a wide range of knowledge about flowering plants and on how to better landscape their streets, villages and workplaces.
During the festival successes and experiences gained in cultivation of flowers were broadly shared.
The festival served as an occasion for promoting the country’s floriculture to improve the people’s cultural and emotional life.
