The spring aesthetic symposium in the field of land and environment protection-2026 took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in the DPRK in the form of video conferencing on May 6.
Attending the symposium on the theme of the “Era of comprehensive socialist development and riverscape” were officials and scientists from relevant sectors including land and environment protection, urban management, industrial design, science and education.
The participants watched a video on the achievements made in creating riverscape.
Speeches were made by Kim Kwang Il, a department director of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, Pak Ok Chol, a section chief of the river design institute, Hwang Myong Jun, a section chief of the Sariwon river design institute, Kim Chol Jun, a dean of Pyongyang University of Architecture, and Ri Yong Gil, a researcher of the Hydraulic Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.
The speakers said that under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , a large-scale modern combined greenhouse farm and an embankment fortified against any natural disasters were built in the northwestern border area of the country.
They referred to the ways for carrying out in a scientific and technological manner the river improvement projects, which occupy an important position in the protection of ecological environment, to suit the global trend and the actual conditions of the country.
