One day in April 2025, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the near-to-inauguration third-stage district in the Hwasong area to inspect the preparations for the operation of a major service facility.
Feasting his eyes on brightly-lit Hwasong Street, he said with great satisfaction that it looks really wonderful and spectacular and whereas the Hwasong Taedonggang Beer House is a landmark of the second-stage district in the area, this chain of neighbourhood-serving amenities is a landmark of the third-stage district.
In fact, he had suggested building an overpass housing a chain of neighbourhood-serving amenities in the third-stage 10 000-flat quarter and examined the layouts, providing meticulous guidance to the whole course of the construction.
One day in January 2025, he put forward an idea of attaching a clock to the arch beam of the overpass and refining the decoration of the tower roofs, and drew a design for it. One March day, when he was looking round the construction site of the third-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area, he stressed the need to increase the decorative effects by installing illuminations and a large clock.
That day, he highly appreciated the overpass with a chain of service amenities, saying it is highly symbolic and characteristic and it is excellent both in design and construction, adding that when building a new street, a landmark structure should be built so that it can come up first in the mind of the people who think about the street.
