Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of greetings to Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), on October 1.

The message reads as follows:

Respected Comrade General Secretary,

On behalf of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Korean people, and on my own behalf, I extend warm congratulations to you, Comrade General Secretary, and to the Communist Party of China, the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the fraternal Chinese people on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the PRC.

For 72 years after the founding of the PRC, the Chinese people have achieved great successes in the struggle to carve out the destiny of the nation and bring prosperity under the leadership of the CPC, braving all sorts of challenges and difficulties of history.

The Chinese people entered a historic course for attaining a fresh goal of building a modern socialist country after having comprehensively built up a moderately prosperous society.

As comrades and friends, we are pleased as our own with the successes achieved in socialist China.

I believe that the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation will surely come true as there are devoted efforts of the Chinese people rallied around the CPC with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core as well as the socialist idea with the Chinese characteristics for the new times.

The WPK, the DPRK Government and people will firmly support the Chinese Party, Government and people in their just struggle to defeat the frenzied confrontational moves by the hostile forces against China and defend the sovereignty, right to development and territorial integrity of the country.

Today, the two Parties and the two countries are demonstrating the comradely unity by strengthening strategic and tactical cooperation in the common struggle for advancing the cause of socialism and defending the regional peace and stability.

I am convinced that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and the PRC will steadily develop in conformity with the common desire of the two Parties and the peoples of the two countries, in the future, too.

I sincerely wish you, Comrade General Secretary, good health and greater successes in your work.

I also wish the PRC prosperity and the Chinese people happiness and well-being.
