That is United States

With the money-is-almighty sophistry dominating the society, the U.S. has recently thrown the public into a shock by recording a crime which goes beyond human imagination.

On November 8, British newspaper “Independent” has reported a horrible incident where a couple in Pennsylvania of the U.S. wrapped the corpse of suddenly dead one-year-old baby in a plastic bag, put it in a box and buried under their house wall.

The baby’s mother (25 years old) was charged with the offences of burying the corpse under wall, hiding the death and obstructing the justice, and her husband was detained by the police on suspicion of obstruction of justice.

According to the investigation of the police, the baby’s mother admitted her crime of burying the corpse under wall, stating that the baby had died of a sudden infant death syndrome in February and that they buried the corpse under their house wall because they did not have enough money to bury in a graveyard.

This can’t but be a tragedy of the 21 century, which rouses both anger and sympathy.

The cruel and cold-hearted act of burying child corpse under house wall prompts astonishment. Yet equally astonishing is the fact that they were left with no other option because they couldn’t afford a grave.

A latest data has revealed that the money spent by a billionaire in the U.S. for caring a pet one year is much more than the total sum of GDP of over 60 countries combined.

And another billionaire has reportedly spent more than US$100,000 just one day for the treatment of COVID-19.

Society where the rich people, less than one percentage of the total population, squander about tens of thousands of dollars every day on their luxurious life whereas the absolute majority of ordinary people cannot afford a grave for their dead children; the society where the rich get ever richer and the poor get ever poorer, and the people without money cannot live a single day, nor have a place to be affordable for burial after death – that is the United States.
