General Kim Il Sung met the delegates of farmersin the then Sinbu Sub-county of Sonchon County in North Phyongan Province whotook the first place in the provincial movement of the prepayment of tax inkind in the first year after Korea’s liberation from Japanesemilitary rule.
As he welcomed them, he thanked them for coming allthe way from afar and warmly shook hands with them.
Listening to their loose talk, he praised them forhaving done things very well and said that what was important now was to buildthe country well.
He said that in nation building farmers should furtherconsolidate the people’s government and do farming well. As he pointed to theneed to produce a large quantity of grains, plant a lot of cotton, produce manycocoons and do animal husbandry well, he said they should do such things wellafter returning home.
Looking at them, he said he would also make acontribution to nation building without sparing his strength and passion andcalled for building a rich and powerful democratic country good to live in.
Afterwards, the farmers in the sub-county who weretold about that by the delegates made a resolve to take an active part innation building.
