The Workers’ Party of Korea is a genuine people’s party which exists for the people and serves them.

Over the protracted period since its founding on October 10, 1945, the WPK has always taken roots deep among the masses and emerged victorious, successfully overcoming manifold difficulties under their absolute support and trust. It is because it has administered the politics of making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people.

In the whole course of its history, the WPK has prioritized and absolutized the interests and convenience of the people in formulating and implementing all policies, diverted all wealth of society to promoting their wellbeing and endeavoured to provide them with a civilized life.

Thanks to its construction policy, modern streets and dwelling houses have been built one after another in recent years in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, including Songhwa Street, first-stage 10 000 flats in Hwasong Street, Pothong Riverside Terraced Houses District, second-stage 10 000 flats in Hwasong Street, and Jonwi Street. Housing construction was promoted vigorously in urban and rural areas, too, with the result that the people have been provided, free of charge, with modern houses built by the state. The Munsu Water Park, Masikryong Ski Resort, Mirim Riding Club, Yangdok Hot Spring Resort and other cultural and leisure facilities, such advanced medical service institutions as Okryu Children’s Hospital, Ryugyong Dental Hospital, Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital, and Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm and other large greenhouse farms add much to the people’s living.

This is not all.

In order to defend the dignity and destiny of the people the WPK has readily dedicated itself and braved any hardships without hesitation. Under its leadership, the DPRK has possessed all absolute weaponry, the monopoly of a few countries, even in the face of the most terrible ordeals and pressure of the century caused by unprecedented military threats and sanctions of the hostile forces, and thus built up its national self-defence capabilities which no one can belittle.

In order to relieve the pain of flood victims who were left homeless due to unexpected natural calamities, it mobilized all forces of the state and provided them, free of charge, with wonderful houses in the shortest period. When the DPRK faced the unexpected health emergency, it convened important Party meetings one after another and set forth the orientations and ways for completely defusing the pandemic crisis, thus reliably protecting the people’s lives.

It was not because conditions were favourable and everything was abundant, but because everything in the country serves the people.

Housing construction is now in full swing in all parts of the country. Big efforts have been directed to ensuring the regular supply of dairy products and other nutritious foods to children across the country. This represents the ennobling political philosophy of the WPK which is eager to grow flowers even on a rock if it is the wish of the people.

Today the WPK is consistently maintaining its political philosophy and pursuing the politics for the good of the people as it holds the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who is endowed with love for the people, as its general secretary in the highest esteem.

Under the leadership of the WPK which regards the people’s demands and interests as absolute standards and realizes them, Korean-style creations reflecting their dreams and ideals are mushrooming day by day.
