Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) met in Oguk-ri, Anak County of South Hwanghae Province on July 5 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung .
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, Pak Thae Sop, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Anak County.
At the meeting, speakers praised the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of the President who made ceaseless efforts for the development of the country’s agriculture, walking along rugged roads between farm fields till the last moment of his life.
Saying that the people’s yearning for the President is growing deeper with the fragrance of vegetables pervading the whole country, they stressed that the peerlessly great man’s history of love for the people would be eternal as he was concerned to make the people’s diet more affluent.
They said that they can never forget the loving care shown by the great father who visited farms with parental affection to discuss the farming work with agricultural workers and provided a farm with lorries and tractors with the payment of his share received from the farm.
The performers called upon all the agricultural workers to become true patriotic farmers defending and supporting the Party with increased grain production, saying that a new era of rural development is being ushered in on this land under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un making ceaseless journey of devotion to the people.
