Our production station, located in Phyongsong, South Phyongan Province, was not so famous until several years ago. We were content with producing padded clothes, working clothes, bags, shoes, soaps and building materials needed for the Phyongsong citizens.
However, in the course of studying the management methods and experiences of the country’s top ten companies of years, we were convinced that we could become a top-ranking enterprise even if we were a small business.
We turned out goods favoured by consumers by always keeping abreast of their needs and demands. Our products gradually began to earn fame across the country, and contract offers came in from different parts. At present, we have contracts with dozens of cities and counties.
The demand for our products is increasing day by day.
With a resolve to contribute, even a little, to the prosperity of the country, we have supplied a lot of building materials, working clothes and shoes to builders at major construction sites.
We have become a prosperous enterprise as we have given full play to the creative initiative of the producer masses while holding fast to the policy of modernizing machinery and equipment and diversifying products in terms of kind, shape and colour.
Our station has been awarded diplomas and gold medals at provincial and national commodity exhibitions. This year, too, it was highly appreciated at various exhibitions such as commodity exhibition and national August 3 consumer goods exhibition held at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1.
Its trademark Ponyong (prosperity) reflects the will of the employees to contribute to the prosperity of their country.
I was elected as a deputy to the Phyongsong City People’s Assembly in the elections of deputies to provincial, city and county people’s assemblies of the DPRK held last year. I think this is an expression of the people’s trust in and expectations of me to work harder for the state and the people.
I am determined to work harder for the development of the region, the improvement of the people’s standard of living and the prosperity of the country.
