The Ranam Coal-mining Machine Factory has established a new alloy steel production line, a significant step forward in developing the country’s machine industry.
In the past the factory contributed to consolidating the foundations for its independent development. It renovated a large drying furnace in such a way as to carry out drying and annealing processes, and established the production lines of iron and steel castings by applying combustion moulding method.
On the basis of such achievement it set a goal for building a new alloy steel production line on its own efforts and pushed ahead with the work to achieve it.
Having completed designing in two months, it built high and medium frequency induction furnaces, general analysis and control rooms and many other facilities and buildings.
The new line can produce high carbon steel, tool steel, die steel, as well as heat- and acid-resistant steel.
