The Korean people are all out in the drive to crown the final year for the implementation of the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea with victory.

The workers at the Ryongsong Machine Complex have also turned out in the campaign to proudly greet the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK with brilliant successes.

They are keen on repaying with higher production results the trust shown by General Secretary Kim Jong Un who put them forward as the creators of the Chollima spirit in the new era.

Two years ago the country was faced with a task of providing modern machinery and equipment needed for readjusting and reinforcing large-scale fertilizer production bases.

At a crossroads of whether to import them with a huge amount of money or produce them by domestic efforts, Kim Jong Un assigned the task of manufacturing large compressors to the complex.

The whole complex turned out as one to live up to his expectation.

Officials, technicians and workers at the complex cast a main workpiece weighing over 20 tons based on a combustion pattern and applied valuable sci-tech successes to production, including a tool they developed to improve the processing speed by over three times more than before.

In the course of this, the complex made different models of large compressors comprising tens of thousands of parts in thousands of kinds in less than a year, while manufacturing a large number of custom-built machines.

During his visit to the complex in November 2023, Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction saying that he was pleased that its workers, scientists and technicians redoubled confidence in their own abilities and sci-tech force and dealt a telling blow to defeatism and mysticism about technology. Highly appreciating that the heroic tradition of implementing the Party policies without fail is continuously carried on, he named the fighting spirit displayed by the working class at the complex the Chollima spirit in the new era, a new spirit representative of the times.

At the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, he highly appreciated the heroic feats of workers of the complex who had made unprecedented innovations by turning the production of the machines entrusted by the Party Central Committee into a process of creating the second Chollima spirit and a mass-based technical innovation drive, and put forward their fighting spirit as a model for the whole country to follow.

Last year the fierce flames of the Chollima spirit in the new era encouraged the people across the country to make greater innovations in implementing the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

This year, too, the workers at the complex are devotedly working to wind up the first-stage renovation project of the complex in the shortest possible time and at the best qualitative level and make a substantial contribution to revitalizing the production in different sectors of the national economy by timely delivering custom-built equipment including new types of compressors.
