Today the DPRK is greeting a new era of comprehensive rejuvenation. With the appearance changing day by day from downtown Pyongyang to the most remote rural village, robust growth takes place simultaneously in all the fields of socialist construction including politics, national defence, the economy and culture, enhancing national dignity and prestige.

In recent years alone, new streets and dwelling houses have revealed their modern and imposing shapes in the capital city Pyongyang every year, while rural houses that shook off the age-old backwardness have sprung up across the country. While the city of Samjiyon in the northern part of the country has turned into an ideal mountainous cultured town, a mountainous gorge town has sprung up as the first of its kind in the area of Komdok, the country’s leading nonferrous mineral ore production base, and rural cultured towns and fairytale villages symbolic of modern civilization have been built in the northwestern part of the country that was heavily hit by floods last year.

Large-scale greenhouse farms that are ever more advanced in terms of scale and development have been built in a row. Regional-industry factories newly built in 20 cities and counties around the country have started operation. A new model of advanced offshore farming has been created in the city of Sinpho on the coast of the East Sea of Korea.

In addition, following the successful accomplishment of the great cause of building up the national nuclear forces, an array of up-to-date weapon systems have been developed and commissioned, while records have been reset ceaselessly in all domains of national affairs.

The new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation on this land is a brilliant fruition of the far-reaching plan and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , the great pioneer and artist of creation.
